Open Letter to Buenos Aires and Department of Interior

Welcome to the musings of a wilderness wanderer, a fellow pilgrim on the Way, seeking to ask better questions and struggling to be patient to live into the answers. This blog was born as a way to reflect on my journey to the Border - to meet her people and to learn more about their lives, their joys and struggles, their hopes and fears; to explore how my own living is complicit in the social, economic, political and environmental ills they face on a daily basis; and to discern ways that I can be more intentionally in solidarity with them in community.
I had no intention of continuing this blog beyond my summer travels, but I've realized that the daily discipline of reflection and writing offered me the opportunity to experience the "still point in chaos" that I needed. Thus, as I move into this new academic year, with its own busyness and frantic pace, I've decided to continue the blog as a way to slow down and notice the gifts of each day. I'll try blogging as a spiritual practice.
